Ou Ning presented The Da Zha Lan Project in Creative Links: Design and Consultation in Urban Regeneration, the forum co-organised by British Council and the Hong Kong Design Centre in November 23, 2005. The forum unites designers, artists, architects, academics, policy makers and opinion leaders from the UK, Hong Kong and mainland China in a professional tripartite dialogue with a focus on the integration of good urban design and community involvement in the process. The 2nd Guangzhou Triennial opened at November 18, 2005. Cao Fei participated the Triennial with a theatre work PRD Anti-Heroes ( premiered at the opening), Ou Ning participated with a special project Moving Images of Pearl River Delta 1898-2005(co-curated with Law Kar, featured about 40 titles of film and video), while Alternative Archive participates as a Self Organization. Ou Ning curated the Moving Images of Pearl River Delta section (totally 13 titles of film and digital video) for 2005 Pingyao International Photography Festival. The Guangdong-based artists Huang Weikai, Jiang Zhi, Fu Zhenyu and Lin Jing attended the opening in Pingyao.
Wu Shanzhuan¡¯s first monograph Red Humour International , published by Asia Art Archive, designed by Ou Ning, launched at Lane Crawford IFC, Hong Kong.
Ou Ning & Cao Fei arrived in Beijing, to begin the Da Zha Lan project for the Beijing Case fellowship program, which is organized by the Kulturstiftung des Bundes (German Federal Culture Foundation) and Goethe-Institut Peking. They planed to stay in Beijing through October 31, researched and filmed Da Zha Lan area in the city.
