我们花费大量时间精力和西方builders在探讨中国现代化时期的建筑美学问题，因一不小心，城市就变成西方视点里的《功夫熊猫》或者《花木兰》了
而持续不懈的探讨终初见一点成效，但此乃城市一角而已，整个城市的建设却是一场旷日持久的战役啊

"RMB City: Preview Center" for public, Opening on 25th July

奠基仪式没几天功夫，目前，RMB City在SL的大地图上已经清晰可见其基本地形，由原来4块岛屿合拼为一个大岛屿。
RMB City: Preview Center，悬浮在RMB City 4区域的上空的观看台，从本月25日Preview Center将开放给观众参观城市的建造过程。
透过观看台，可俯瞰整个城市。承建队伍Avatrian的工作人员不停在此加班加点，我们经常上去监工。
目前部分大体积的建筑在建造过程中。

7月14日，北京时间上午11点，RMB CITY的奠基仪式在second life中进行。
筹备近一年的RMB CITY项目终于动土了！城建队伍是位于美国加洲的Avatrian
相信在秋天，RMB CITY将会完工，并全面开放给在线观众。
在7月25日Serpentine Gallery(London)展览期间，将会开放RMB City Promotion Center给公众在线观看城市的建造过程。

刚出炉的工地帽。这是第二人生“人民城寨”计划在建城期间在第一人生的象征品。当然，真实的帽子戴不进虚拟，虚拟里面也不需要真实的帽子。但我们还是需要一个现实的媒介来说明虚拟的事情，比如这顶帽子。其实，在两个世界中，它都是不可相互证明的，不可用的，恰恰这样它模糊了现实与虚拟的某种关系，关于对“建造”的某种指涉。
或许，我会戴着这顶帽子坐在电脑面前在第二人生里面用我的数字化身去指挥建造；或者我戴着这顶帽子走在真实世界的街道上，思考关于虚拟之城的建筑问题。如果说卡尔维诺的小说《看不见的城市》里展开的是“一种时而含蓄时而清晰的关于现代城市的讨论”，那么虚拟之城在现实里面的不可见展开的是“一种时而颠狂时而悲观的关于对未来虚拟城市的想象”。互为“别处”的大陆，“别处”在相互世界中都是不存在的
